Discovering Naschmarkt (Big street market)
During our FreeWalking tour, our guide told us to visit the Naschmarkt. We had ample time to visit it, and it did not disappoint.
Its basically a huge street market located in a cool neighbourhood. We most appreciated the amazing architecture surrounding the market. Each building looked as though they were hand painted with precision, details and personal art.
How much time ?
You can spend an entire morning here, getting to know this 18th century street market. There are more than one hundred food stands, colourful local food and products. Plus, you’ll find lots of restaurants and souvenir stores with clothes, chocolates and more.
It looks like they also have a Flea market on Saturdays that could be nice to explore. Simply check the opening hours just to be safe.
Lunch time !
We arrived at the end of the street and we saw some locals lining up to eat sausages and bread. Being in discovering mode, we thought it would be a great way to catch a quick bite. We gave it a try and thought it was really good ! Check out the name in the picture below, in case you want to try it for yourselves !

Do we recommend ? Absolutely. The market is really clean and located in a great spot. It’s a really cool place to visit, explore and have a quick bite to eat !
