Discovering Jewish memorial, Berlin
The Holocaust Memorial is but a short walk from the Brandenburg Gate. We visited on a sunny day, yet there weren't a lot of people around. How come ?

Powerful energy
Arriving at the historical landmark, there's a powerful energy which is hard to put into words. It's also difficult to understand the design for the memorial. What was the artist trying to send as a message ?
It seems like the case for most of abstract art, it's difficult to understand the artist's true message. However, our interpretation of the Memorial was that of a gloomy cemetery. Moreover, as you walk to the middle each block reminds about all the victims and each grave.
Do we recommend ?
Certainly worth checking out. It's probably not the most exciting attraction, but it's part of history. As a result, we were happy to visit the memorial a couple of times.
