Discovering Staroměstské náměstí, Prague
What is Staroměstské náměstí ?
Staroměstské náměstí is Prague's Old town square. It's one of the main points to visit and a great place to start discovering as it links to other important touristic points, for example Charles Bridge.
The old town square is usually really crowded, with lots of people trying to take pictures. There is an abundance of restaurants, gift shops and massage parlours. Maybe someone could comment below, as we didn’t get why there are so many massage parlours everywhere ?
Prague's medieval clock !
The surrounding buildings are really beautiful, rich in details and with different architectural styles. More specifically, the Gothic church of Our Lady from the 14th century. There's also the medieval astronomical clock that rounds a bunch of people at a specific time to see the figurines circling.
Do we recommend ?
Totally, beautiful square with lots of activities and main point to visit in the city. We visited Prague during the spring of 2017. During that time, we felt it was warmer than other places we visited in Europe. However, if you're planning a trip in the spring, we recommend a warm jacket / rain coat and an umbrella.
