Since we had the Eurail pass, we took the train, which was a 90 minute ride.  Then, from the Wolfsburg train station it’s a breezy 20 minute walk.  It’s not the most scenic walk, but it was nice to get some exercise. How’s the museum ? The museum doesn’t have a really high tech or modern structure, it looks like a basic factory with a bunch of cars inside. There’s a hallway

Where : East Side Gallery Discovering East Side Gallery, Berlin When we arrived at the East side of the Berlin Wall, we finally understood the idea that “Every crack tells a thousand stories”.  We were impressed with the wall size, the longest remaining section of the Berlin wall. It’s now covered with graffiti (or art) many with a political message. It’s hard to believe it existed in the first place. It’s purpose, was to control the movement of people on various territories (the French, British and Russians). The East side goes along

Discovering Reichstag Building, Berlin

The good thing you don’t need to pay, it’s totally FREE to visit !! The next day, we simply needed to show up at the front of the

Discovering Checkpoint Charlie, Berlin

Where : Checkpoint Charlie Discovering Checkpoint Charlie, Berlin Checkpoint Charlie is one of the most visited attractions in Berlin, so if you’re going to Berlin you won’t want to miss this! This replica represents the separation of East and West after World War II.  Furthermore, during the Cold War citizens needed permission to cross.  Reasons for wanting to cross were mixed, either citizens were trying to escape the Russian ruling or trying to get back together with family members on the other side. For the Show Today, this reenactment of “Checkpoint Charlie” is more for show.  You’ll find actors dressed like officers, who will get a snapshot with you for $$.  It might seem like a questionable thing to do, since
