Discovering Marienplatz, Munich
Where : Marienplatz/Neues Rathaus (New Town Hall) Discovering Marienplatz. The New Town Hall of Munich appears to be the main hub. We consider it a main touristic point of Munich. Beautifully put together, the construction soon attracts attention for its imposing neo-Gothic style building. Additionally, there are lots of figures and details, especially for the famous clock called “The clock chimes”. Hundreds of people gather in front of the building hoping to witness clock chimes and the famous rotating figurines. These represent the history and the legends of Munich. We enjoyed simply standing in front of Marienplatz and admiring the architecture. The facade is very beautiful and interesting, quite unique compared to other cities we’ve visited.
