Discovering Autostadt and Volkswagen Factory, Wolfsburg
We first arrived in Wolfsburg on a Saturday. Wolfsburg is a small city located a little more than one hour by train from Berlin. The ultimate goal was to visit the Volkswagen factory and the Autostadt (Automobile City).
Once there, we were told few visitors attractions were available and the factory was closed for visits on weekends. This is when we decided to visit the Volkswagen museum to make the most of the day. Serge wouldn't go down without a fight. He is a VW lover and he was also a VW Sales Representative for more than 8 years. So with his determination, we booked the next available factory tour, which happened to be on a Monday. And so, we came back to visit the Autotadt, which is a visitor attraction adjacent to the VW Factory.
The entrance fees was quite reasonable. We recall paying around $ 15 euros for the day which also included the Factory tour. Plus, we got to visit some exhibits of the VW museum and the totally modern two Car Towers Ascent.
How were the facilities ?
There are restaurants and stores located in the Autostadt. Additionally, you will find an outlet shopping mall beside the Autostadt and train station in case you want to do some shopping or eat something outside of Autostadt.

Unfortunately it is forbidden to take pictures of the VW Factory tour. So only our words can convince you that it's a wonderful tour to take. Our guide was nice and knowledgeable and demonstrated great timing during our visit.
Do we recommend ?
Well if you're a die hard Volkswagen fan then you'll love it. If you are a car fan you will also enjoy it. The beauty of this area of Wolfsburg is the option to choose.
All we can tell you, is that it's really worth it! Also, try to visit during business days and avoid making the same mistake we did !
