The Petit Trianon in Versailles Pleasantly surprised We came for the Versailles Palace, and returned raving about the Petit Trianon!  Since the lineup at the Palace was unbearable, we started sightseeing the Versailles Garden and Petit Trianon. About the Petit Trianon According to Wikipedia, the Petit Trianon was designed by Ange-Jacques Gabriel from the order of Louis XV for his long-term mistress Madame de Pompadour. Furthermore, the luxurious decorations also attracted Marie Antoinette. She was going to escape the formality of the court life and to shake off the burden of her royal responsibilities. Discovering Mont Saint-Michel, France

Mont Saint-Michel, France Mont-Saint-Michel is one of the places that impressed us the most during our tour in France. It’s a magical place and the surrounding views are breathtaking. What we consider important pointers Plan an early visit to the ‘island’ as it gets crowded very quickly.  We visited in April and expected very little tourists. Boy  were we wrong! Expect delays.  We arrived first thing in the morning and still had to wait around 30-60 minutes to get inside.  This was because of tourists and security checkpoints.
